The Gingerbread Man Day

The Gingerbread Man did not fit into our two weekly schedule for the term so we decided to dedicate a day to this story. No fairytale unit would be complete without making gingerbread. Here are some photos from the day. Thanks Reed for the photos. We also made some Gingerbread Man maps Thanks Alani for the photos

Was Baby Bear's porridge just right?

Today we made porridge as an exciting activity to go with our fairytale this week. The children enjoyed stirring the mixture and having a taste when it was made. They all said that it was "just right!" We got our recipe from Sparklebox Here are some photos

Mini Olympics

What a fantastic day we had today. We were all divided into country teams and competed in six events. Thank you so much to Michelle, Reshma, Bree and Hanna for giving up a whole morning to help run the events and coach the teams. Here are some photos.

Sharing from New Zealand

Another sharing activity for Room 20 children. We have been very lucky with the response from our parents. Today we had sharing from Jessica and her mum. Michelle made some stencils using two Maori symbols. The Koru and the fish hook-Hei Matau. The children listened to some information about them. Here are some photos.
